I’ve been editing various bits of this and that for years. I’ve worked one-on-one with writers at all stages of their careers to help them uncover the hearts of their stories. In the last 19 years, I’ve served as editor-in-chief for six publications for the University of Kansas and KU Endowment. In this role, I serve as project manager, while continuing to work with writers and artists. Here are just a few examples:
Most recently, I’ve edited and managed The GHawker and The Geologic Record for the KU Department of Geology.
My publications have won numerous awards, including many from Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Region VI: gold, silver and bronze medals for KU Endowment’s Catalyst periodical as best magazine, best visual design, best cover, best science/research articles. Gold and bronze medals for KU Endowment’s Accolades newsletter for best visual design in newsletter/tabloid and best fundraising newsletter/tabloid.
